Carlo Russo
Carlo Russo is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He has received numerous awards including Arthur Decosta Painting Prize and was a Fellow at the Hudson River School for Landscape. He has done numerous solo and group shows and has exhibited his work in New York, Philadelphia , Georgia , New Mexico and California. Carlo Russo also teaches painting in the Philadelphia region.
His influences vary, ranging from contemporary realism to late 19th century French and Russian painting. His philosophy on painting is based on working from life as much as is possible as well as painting exclusively in natural north light in his studio.
